~Urban Living, Kampung Spirit~

Drawing from permaculture and syntropic farming principles, this workshop offers a hands-on exploration of natural farming practices that can be applied across both small- and large-scale contexts.

We will delve into interconnected topics of soil health and regeneration, garden design and maintenance, plant propagation and seed saving, foraging and fermentation, and composting and waste management. You will learn how these practices come together to create resilient and regenerative systems and ultimately apply them within your own context.

This workshop is open to everyone, regardless of experience level. Beyond practical skills, the workshop offers time and space to connect with a learning community, deepen your relationship with the natural world, and experience a slower, more present and joyful way of living on the farm.

Facilitators

  • Imran Aljunied, Co-founder and Farm Manager, A Little Wild
Imran's interest comes from the love of living self sufficiently. In 2010 he found himself on a permaculture farm and realised that it was possible for him to live this way. He then decided to make it his life. He started out building permaculture gardens in Singapore, building more than 50 big and small gardens during his time there. He went on to work outside of Singapore, starting a permaculture consultancy with friends and doing advisory work for companies, including organic palm oil.
  • Abdul Mubin Bin Roshan, A Little Wild
Mubin is a permaculture + syntropic agroforestry practitioner and land steward at A Little Wild. His interest in regenerative farming started during his internship at A Little Wild. Raised on coastal and forested lands in Terengganu, he has found that working with nature really suits him!
  • Ayaka Fujii, A Little Wild
Grounded in aspirations to bridge personal and planetary healing, Ayaka Fujii is an emerging regenerative practitioner, farmer, and community steward. She is moved by living questions on interconnectedness, and ecological narratives that call us home. Based on A Little Wild, Aya tends to the farm’s community development and programs, cherry-to-cup coffee production, kitchen fermentations, and smaller scale food systems on the land.
